The Actual Best Way to Advance Atlantis Instance

Ok, so to start I apologise to warriors and champs because you got screwed.

Unfortunately I am not nearly geared enough to beat this but I do believe I know the best way to do so.

Preferred team: 2 Priest, 1 Mage

Mage Strategy: Afk with flame blast only and pet with bloodsucker or Panda while wearing physical armor. Position yourself just before exiting the bottleneck run a little ways away from the huge opening. Also, altaring your defenses would be wise. The trick is to right click yourself with the right click hotkey empty. This will target yourself and you will begin casting flame blast. Allow this to stack for a short while before the priests begins their part of this instance. As for you, other then occasionally recasting Five star or if necessary merging. Your part is done.

Note for mobs: You may notice the physical mobs die much quicker then the magical. Use this to your advantage if you start taking significant damage and switch to magical defense once you have downed the physicals.

Priest strategy: Heal the mage. Oh also, one of you will need to enter the opening after every pull to grab the next spawns. Once you see the red dots chasing, simply run over and past the mages flame blast. Be sure to avoid the mermaid spawns. Do not lure mermaid over mage flame blast please. (Lol -.-) Only one priest needs to pull mobs, the other can stand still and wait. Be sure to coordinate your heals, and keep the mage mana shielded. I do not discourage the priests from assisting in killing, but remember, your mages life is priority.

If You Insist On The Mermaid: If you must capture the mermaid, use a priest to grab it and gaea care, then capture. Heal as needed, you have two priests after all.

If Mobs Get Too Strong: Depending on just how strong the magic mobs get the mage may not be able to tank them. One alternative to this would be to have the second priest (the one not pulling the mobs) to target and grab aggro from a few magic mobs before they run over the mages flame blast. If necessary, simply gaea care and hold the aggro until either the physical mobs die allowing mage to switch to magic, or your gaea runs out. In the case that gaea runs out, allow the other priest to steal the aggro from you and in turn gaea care again. If the physical mobs die then you should be safe to lure the magic mobs over the mages flame blast, assuming your mage has not fallen asleep.

Words Of Caution!: It appears that the mobs are time spawned rather then dependant on the condition of the previous spawn. With this in mind, do not waste your time. One foul up can allow for a massive mob to be created. It would be wise to keep an eye on the spawn and pull as often as possible.

Reasoning: For those who do not understand why I choose the mage to tank; Flame blast while being afk casted is unreasonably overpowered when combined with a life absorb skill. With all mobs being lured directly onto it a good mage can outheal the damage being dealt to him for quite some time. Once the mage begins taking more damage then his flame blast can heal, 2 priests are on stand-by with heals, as well as, if you are smart, panda heal.

Conclusion: Please take into consideration that this strategy assumes that the mage being used is significantly well geared. Also Panda is most likely a necessity for advancement as bloodsucker will not be nearly as useful. I apologise for the wall, but if you have taken the time to read this I am sure you will have been enlightened. Unless of course you have already discovered this epic combination. Feel free to share your insights.

Talent Point Farming Guide

What is Talent Point(TP) farming?

Talent Point farming is the act of killing monsters lower leveled than you for talent points.

How much exp do I need to raise my tp levels?
You don’t exactly level tp, but it takes 50 monster kills(without a tp potion) to get 1 talent point.

How to Talent Point farm

When you talent point farm, you will gain 2 tp exp per monser kill that is 20 LEVELS, below yours. So at early levels, such as 21 and below, you can farm the Dumb or Crispy Woodmen to your hearts content.

Another great boost is that you get 3 300% TP exp boost potions out of your newbie gift bag, this means durng their use, you get 8 tp per kill instead of 2. This is a huge boost, resulting in a tp level in only 13 monster kills, amazing isn’t it?

Now you may ask, what is the point of tp farming? The reason you farm talents is to get all the attributes that you don’t gain through just levelling your character’s level alone. You will see extremely strong fighters have strong or even full talent trees, this is why we tp farm.

There are other ways to get talents, such as doing quest, Hera’s Labyrinth, and Sicily Event. These can help boost the gain by doing these when you’re playing, and farming when you’re busy or asleep.

TP Farming

so i started a warrior in the second alpha and got to about lvl 60 when i decided i was very unhappy with how low my TP’s were from just questing.

i decided to start over even though i would be behind in levels which i am ok with since my build will be great once i finally decide to level.

I chose to make a champ just because i love DPS more than tanking with a warrior and im just not a big fan of priests or mages they dont really suite my playing style.

at lvl 34 ive stopped leveling to focus on my TP build. The reason is i am no longer gaining leveling experience from mobs so i can continue to build talent experience without leveling my character so i have no need to change mobs until i am happy with my talents enough to move on.

Updated Stats as of Tuesday,January 13,2009 4:04pm
Talents.

Stats.

so far its working out pretty well im going to keep working on my tp until i have my damage column around 20 and my others around 10 each

please note this is not my completed build so some stats are still at 0 so please don’t flame saying “OMG YOUR A NOOB FOR NOT PUTTING POINTS INTO “Blank”.

i just wanted to see how other players are working on their skills and compare some stats

feel free to post your builds and experience with Talents.

Note: Ive been farming tp 10 levels LOWER than my level even though a lot of people say 10 levels HIGHER is better but its been working just fine for me and i dont have to worry about pots while farming at a low level.just thought i would suggest farming lower level mobs if your character is a lowbie . also it can be a bit hard to farm 10 levels higher if your talents are low to start with.

Happy Gaming

Guide to Forge Epic Grade 10 Eqs and Eqs Stats Selection

Lets not waste any more time, i'll go straight into it

Recommendation: Prepare more sets of crystals in case if u fail, after failing once, the result for the second try are more likely to be 'succeeded'
Beginners forge guild (For anyone in the game):

Common => Enhance : lvl 1 sapphire *50% success rate*

Enhance => Delicate : lvl 1 sapphire *30% success rate*

Delicate => Good : lvl 1 sapphire + 25 X lvl 1 crystals *45% success rate*

Good => Superior : lvl 2 sapphire + 25 X lvl 1 crystals *43% success rate*

Grade 1 => Grade 2 : lvl 1 emerald *60% success rate*

Grade 2 => Grade 3 : lvl 1 emerald *35% success rate*

Grade 3 => Grade 4 : lvl 1 emerald + 25 X lvl 1 crystals *55% success rate*

Grade 4 => Grade 5 : lvl 1 emerald + 25 X lvl 1 crystals *40% success rate*

Grade 5 => Grade 6 : lvl 2 emerald + 25 X lvl 1 crystals *33% success rate*

Superior Grade 6 is very easy to forge, it doesnt really cost much to make a full set, but after that, you'll be spending around 4 times more Gold/E-gold each try, i'll be including some special skills of forging which might help you.

1. Forging Classical: Since you are using level 2 crystals when forging classical eqs, i recomend to upgrade your gem into lvl 3, in order to increase success rate

Superior => Classical : lvl 3 Sapphire + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *71% success rate*

Some people might say that they forged classical with only lvl 1 crystals, you can try if you want, but i dont think its a good idea:

lvl 3 sapphire + 25 X lvl 1 crystals gives only 21% success rate, but its up to you whether if u want to forge it with lvl 1 crystals.

2. Forging Grade 6 => Grade 7 : It is recommended to use lvl 3 emerald + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *66% success rate*

For people who's not willing to use lvl 3 emerald, its okay to use lvl 2

Prepare 2 sets of emerald and crystals, and few lvl 1 emerald, forge any eqs from Grade 1 => Grade 2, 60%, keep forging until you failed 1 or 2 times, dont close the forging window, go for Grade 7 straight away.

lvl 2 emerald + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *58% success rate*

At this stage, people might ask, what's the point of forging other eqs? isnt that a waste of gems?

Well, think like this, if the chances for a character to critical is 50%, after 2 hits, no critical comes out, the chances for the third hit is more likely to do a critical than the first 2 hits, Get It ? If you dont get it, bad luck, coz im moving on ~ no time to waste ~ xD

3. Forging Grade 7 => Grade 8 : lvl 3 emerald + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *51% success rate*

PS: Forge any eqs from Common => Enhance, 50% success rate, keep forging until u failed 1 or 2 times, then go for Grade 8.

4. Forging Grade 8 => Grade 9 : lvl 3 emerald + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *31% success rate*

*31% is very low for lvl 2 crystals, because if u fail once, then thats 2828 Gold/E-gold flew away from you, it is recommended to use lvl 3 emerald and lvl 3 crystals for 100% success rate*

If you dont want to use lvl 3 crystals, its okay, 31% is counted as a chance, not impossible, there is always possibility for succeed~~ but its just too low ~~

PS: Forge any eqs from Grade 2 => Grade 3, 35% success rate, after 4 consecutive fails, go for Grade 9.

5. Forging Classical => Eternal : lvl 3 sapphire + 25 X lvl 2 crystals *41% success rate*

PS: Forge any eqs from Grade 2 => Grade 3, 35%, after 3 consecutive fails, go for Eternal.

6. At last, Grade 9 => Grade 10 and Eternal => Epic, lvl 3 gem + lvl 3 crystals, no doubt

PS: Forging guide above is just a simple maths calculation, trying the best of its ability to maximise your forging rate, but it really depends on whether if you a good person or bad person, it was told that a bad person will have 30% less success rate than a good person

Caution: Fails is undefendable, no one can stop it from coming, unless you are a very rich person, using level 3 gem and level 3 crystals each time

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eqs Stats Selection:

Below is just my little opinion, dont kill me if im wrong ~

1. Weapon:Recommend: Attack, Damage Bonus, Critical, MAX HP

PS: Warrior and Priest's weapon doesnt have Damage Bonus, Warrior can have Hit Rate instead, and Priest can choose between Hit Rate and MAX MP, depending on the MP you need while PVPing

2. Helmet:Recommend: Attack, Damage Bonus, Critical, Hit Rate
PS: Dont get rid of Critical and Hit Rate !!

3. Ring:Recommend: Attack, Damage Bonus, Critical, MAX HP

PS: Nothing much to say, dont change any of them

4. Glove:Recommend: Attack, Damage Bonus, Critical, Hit Rate

PS: Dont get rid of Hit Rate!!

5. Armor:Recommend: Defence, Dodge, Absorb, MAX HP

PS: Dont get rid of Dodge

6. Belt:Recommend: Defence, Magic Defence, Critical Resistance, MAX HP or MAX MP <depending on your skills>

PS: Magic Defence is very useless in Gang fight, dont get rid of critical resistance, if you have critical resistance for every eqs, the max critical resistance you get is 130, then you dont have to scare about mage critical, max critical for mage is 138.

7.Sleeve:Recommend: Defence, Critical Resistance, Hit Rate, Magic Defence

PS: Dont get rid of critical resistance and hit rate!!

8.Legging:Recommend: Defence, Critical Resistance, Dodge, Magic Defence

PS: Dont get rid of critical resistance and Dodge!!

9.Pendant:Recommend: Dodge, Critical Resistance, Absorb, MAX MP or Dodge Buff effect

PS: Warrior and Champ can choose MAX MP for skills, priest and recommend to have Dodge buff effect

10.Boot:Recommend: Critical Resistance, Absorb, MAX HP, Dodge

PS: Dont get rid of critical resistance and dodge

11.Shield:Recommend: Defence, Magic Defence, Absorb, MAX HP or MAX MP

PS: Depending on skills, warrior is recommended to have MAX MP

Most players decided to have MAX HP instead of Hit Rate, MAX HP only give 3150 maximum, 3150 HP = 1 or 2 normal hit from your opponent, but when PVPing against a lots of players, 3150 HP is useless, since you'll die anyway, instead, having higher Hit Rate isnt a bad thing ~ atleast its harder for you to miss your skills, think about a champ miss his spear hit, thats around half of his MP gone, for nothing~~
